Spring workshop and conference event in Raton postponed

NMWDOC Members, Partners, and friends:

In response to the COVID-19 crisis and unknown timeline associated with the neccesary response, the Steering Committee of the New Mexico Watershed and Dam Owners Coalition has determined that we must postpose and re-schedule our annual workshop and conference.  Originally scheduled for May 6-8 in Raton, we are working on hosting the event in Raton in late August or September of this year.  As details are worked out, we will be sending out another notice and further details.

I want to thank all of you who for your support for this coalition, especially those that helped put the postponed event together and those that had already agreed to share at our workshop and conference.  We will continue to serve as an advocate to support watershed protection and restoration projects, dam related projects and dam safety efforts in New Mexico.  As soon as life returns to a semblance of normal, we will continue pursuing our mission and goals through increased public awareness, interaction with NM legislature, interaction with the Office of State Engineer and the Dam Safety Bureau and through workshops and training sessions.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Thanks,

Zack Libbin, PE, CFM
